  • Saturday night, May 31, 2008 from 7-10pm: Dr. Wu
    Los Angeles' premier Steely Dan tribute Band. "A must see!"


  • Wednesday night, June 4, 2008 from 6:30-9:30pm: Eddies Rockin' Revue
    The famous retro-group Royal Crown Revue debuted in 1989 and ignited a full-on swing revival -- a music-and-fashion fad that recalled a "time gone by." The group laid the groundwork for a swing revival of the 1990s that was epitomized by vintage 1940s clothes and energetic musical blends of traditional swing, jump- -boogie, hot jazz, bebop, and rock. Now, lead vocalist Eddie Nichols together with three other core members of this famous gang have regrouped to form yet a new swingin' sound with Eddie's Rockin' Revue.

  • Wednesday night, June 11, 2008 from 6:30-9:30pm: Jonathan Stout & His Campus Five Featuring Hilary Alexander
    The Jonathan Stout Orchestra is Los Angeles’ finest in Big Band Swing. The JSO is exciting and explosive, foregoing the nostalgia of familiar, sentimental material and focusing on killer-dillers and lesser known and unique tunes. The JSO is true to the original Swing era, and exclusively uses vintage stock arrangements and transcriptions of vintage recordings. The musicians of the JSO are Los Angeles’ finest practitioners of Swing, not studio musicians on just another gig. Moreover, the JSO was founded by two accomplished swing dancers and is uniquely suited to provide only the most danceable music for jitterbugs of all stripes. The JSO captures all of the vibrancy and excitement of the Swing era.

    Jazz vocalist Adam Jackson has worked with artists like Toni Braxton, Vesta Williams, Charo, Stevie Wonder, Linda Hopkins, Kenny "Babyface" Edmunds and David Foster.



  • Saturday night, June 14, 2008 from 7-10pm: InSoul
    InSoul is an all-star group that got together specifically to tour for the U.S. Military throughout the Middle East and Europe. The band was such a success on the road they decided to stay together. They perform hot R&B/Motown and jazz hits througout the greater Los Angeles/Orange County areas as well as continuing to tour regularly for our troops abroad.

  • Sunday, June 15, 2008 FATHERS DAY from 11:30-2:00pm and 4:00-8:00pm: The Rick Rossi Jazz Quartet
    Rossi Music specializes in great jazz. A blend of classic jazz,, Latin, Smooth Jazz and R&B, led by Grammy-winning saxophonist Rick Rossi. Rick has been nominated for a Grammy three times, winning in 1998 as a featured soloist on Brian Setzer’s The Dirty Boogie. He is a performer, composer and arranger who plays all of the saxophones, flutes and clarinets. He has composed and arranged music for film and television soundtracks including Monster-In-Law, and The Wedding Crashers as well as for various artists, bands and CD projects The long list of legends and artists he has worked with includes Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Cher, Stanley Clarke, Bobbie Womack, Rosemary Clooney, Tommy Dorsey, Bobbie Caldwell, George Duke and Shakira.

    In these times when Salsa, Cuban Son and different types of rhythms are continuing to evolve, the very traditional Cuban Charanga is well kept by very few orchestras. Since 1997 Fay Robert’s Charangoa based out of Los Angeles, has been keeping the flame with their traditional Charanga. appearing in some of L.A’s top venus, KTTV’s ‘Good day L.A. and many different festivals throughout Los Angeles.


  • Wednesday night, June 25, 2008 from 6:30-9:30pm: The Hollywood Combo
    A veteran of the Los Angeles blues, swing, and roots scenes, singer and harmonica player Mark Tortorici is a strong blues shouter who also has the range and style to be warm and smooth on a love song, standard, or ballad. An engaging live performer who always “takes it up a notch,” known to jump off the bandstand and grab a gal for a spin, rumor has it he’s also one of the sharpest dressed cats in town.


  • Friday night, June 27, 2008 from 7-10pm: Rossi World Music
    Portuguese,French and Spanish are some of the languages you’ll here in this eclectic mix of jazz, latin and lounge. Featuring multi-lingual vocalist Rebecca Kyler Downs. Rebecca toured with Red and the Redhots all over the USA, recorded on several of their CD’s, and was featured in Vogue with Leonardo Di Caprio as well as on Everybody Loves Raymond, The New Donny And Marie Show and Good Morning America. Currently she can be heard on the soundtrack of the Oscar-nominated movie The Cooler, along with Tierney Sutton, Bobby Caldwell and Diana Krall.

    "South Bay Music Awards 2005 & 2006 Pop/R&B Group of the Year" "HUSH" does it all, from Top 40, Rock and Roll, to R&B, to jazz and spicing it up with their everpresent Latin rhythms. Featured in the movie "The Serious Business of Happiness," HUSH has performed with legendary artists such as Joe Houston, Mickey Champion, Finis Tasby, JJ Bad Boy Jones, LA Jones, and James Harmon.

    Flattop Tom & His Jump Cats are a group of energetic, talented musicians dedicated to keeping traditional Swing & Blues alive. Besides being lead singer, Flattop Tom is a professional swing dancer. The Jump cats have just finished their newest cd and will be featuring some of their brand-new, smokin' hot tunes

    Floyd & the Flyboys is a super-tight, versatile, good-time music. Not only a jumpin' swing band they can cover an incredible variety of styles including blues, jazz, funk, or New Orleans R&B blues. Rated the #1 R&B/Blues band in a recent music industry poll conducted by Music Connection Magazine, the band prides itself on its polished performances, exciting arrangements, and soulful delivery.

    In the early 1950s Big Jay McNeely's ability to whip teenagers into a frenzy was so disturbing to civic authorities in Los Angeles that he was banned from playing in most of Los Angeles county. A California native, tenor saxophonist Cecil "Big Jay" McNeely has been "the king of the honkers" for over 50 years, and he's still going strong Tonight he teams up with blues shouter Mark Tortorici and his Hollywood Combo.

    Whether performing at The Richard Nixon Library for the Chrysler Board of Directors, serenading Jada Pinkett at 6:00am under her bedroom window as a birthday surprise at the request of then-fiancee Will Smith, or providing music for such hot Hollywood features as Collateral, Paulie and The Mexican, Los Bandidos capture the heart and soul of authentic Flamenco as they capture the hearts and souls of those who listen to them.

    Lil' Mo and The Dynaflo's consists of some of the finest musicians from the L.A. Rockabilly Scene, and along with some equally talented vocalists, are ready to carry on the tradition of the street corner crooners. Long live Doo Wop!


  • Friday night, July 25, 2008 from 7-10pm: The Ravers - On a mission from Mod!
    The Ravers! specialize in favorite covers of seminal British bands of the 1960s including: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, The Animals, Zombies, Cream, Move, Traffic, Troggs, Small Faces, Manfred Mann, and the first incarnations of the Moody Blues, Procol Harum, Bee Gees and the Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd. The four band members are veteran session, stage and soundtrack musicians who between them have played with the cream of UK and US performers. Their collective credits include working with British artists such as Roger Daltrey, Spencer Davis, John Mayall, Denny Laine, Andy Summers and Paul McCartney & Wings.

    This diverse group of top Los Angeles session musicians originally decided to have some fun – so they got together to create a Steely Dan tribute band. Dr Wu now covers all kinds of R&B and jazz favorites, using the impressive vocal talents of British-born frontman Tony Eagan

    Swing Syndicate is comprised of a four piece rhythm section with two horns and a male front vocalist. The ensemble uses vintage musicial instruments and is outfitted in authentic vintage wardrobe. Swing Syndicate has been performing for 5 years developing a unique sound blending different jazz styles fused with swing and rockabilly.

Articulate and instantly communicative, she's a singer who relates to a broad audience. Jazz and popular music hold hands together on this recommended album. Sadler's hearty alto voice lets her interpret with feelings alive...she's convincing. As a backup singer to Donny Osmond, Natalie Cole, Deneice Williams, and The Mamas and the Papas, she's demonstrated this warmth time and time again. Now, it's her showcase, and what a pleasure the session delivers."

    Beatworks Music recording artist Larry Washington began his musical career at an early age playing drums behind R&B acts, various Motown artists, opening for BB King, The Spinners, Al Green, The Ohio Players, and others, performing at clubs, concerts, and writing music throughout some of the world's top artists, appeared on The Billboard Music Awards with Warren G and has even performed at The White House. His television credits include work on such major networks as MTV, BET, ABC, CBS, & FOX. His movie appearances include Mobsters, The Princess Diaries, What's Love Got to Do With It, and Showgirls. He's played on the soundtracks Sister Act 2 - Back in the Habit and Low Down Dirty Shame, and he's played and contributed music to Drive and Animal Instinct 2.

    Electric violinist Susie Hansen plays fiery Latin Jazz and Salsa, creating music that brings audiences to their feet, dancing in the aisles. Susie and her Los Angeles-based band have been acclaimed by many critics, such as Phil Elwood from the San Francisco Examiner who describes them this way: "It's a sizzling, swinging Salsa band. Hansen can solo as if her bow was afire. The whole room was jumpin' for joy.

    A native of St.Louis, she was accepted to the "Young Americans" while still very yoiung, and moved to Southern California to tour with their performing arts group. A tiny person with a huge voice, Beverly Taylor has her own band now. She sings R&B infused with Jazz and Blues reflecting a wide range of influences “Janis Joplin to Nina Simone...”

    “A really tight, hard-playing little band that even die-hard big band listeners could enjoy...: LA Jazz Scene. The Bill Fulton Band is an exciting jazz-fusion, R&B, and smooth jazz ensemble comprised of LA's finest musicians, including Grammy-winning saxist Rick Rossi, and renowned saxist Ernie Watts upon occasion. The band has played many local LA jazz clubs and festivals including the Playboy Jazz Festival in 2005 to enthusiastic audiences. The Bill Fulton CD 'Time', on Rhombus records, has received national airplay.

    The Blues Gypsies carry the torch for all of the Blues Legends. Created by the featured guitarist for Blues Legend John Lee Hooker, Ricky P this high energy blues act plays a mix of Chicago and Texas style Blues with a hint of Hendrix.
