BOOKING
Why Rossi Music?
Every musician, every band, every DJ that we work with is
someone we have worked with many, many times. We know their
work very well. Our musicians have the major credits they
do because they are disciplined, hard-working professionals.
Just like us, they care that the music they play at your
very important event is better than you could have ever
hoped.
Can I hold a band without a deposit?
As much as we would love to accommodate you we cannot hold dates without paperwork. Should you wish to reserve a specific date, please call to verify availability. We will then place a 72-hour hold on that date for you, and either fax or mail a contract to you. Receipt by us of signed copy of that agreement, along with the requested deposit, will constitute a firm commitment.
EVENT
What If I want certain songs to be played?
For all events we ask you for general guidelines, as to what styles of music you would like played throughout the night. In addition we suggest you select up to ten songs from the band's song list. The bands will follow those guidelines and do their best to play all of your specific requests while gauging what genre of music your guests seem to respond best to.
How many songs will the band play?
A band can play between 10-12 songs in an hour. So for a typical four-hour event the band will play between 40 and 50 songs
Will the band perform a song that is not on their list?
For any special requests, we need to know AT LEAST four weeks PRIOR to your event. In addition the band will need a recording and sheet music (supplied by you) for the song. The band cannot learn any music that does not have sheet music available. Your band can learn up to two (2) songs per event.
Will we have a chance to meet our band leader to discuss the event?
Not usually. Our musicians maintain a hectic performance schedule. It is our job to make sure that they are completely informed about the details of your party. If there are specific concerns that need to be addressed by your band leader, we will gladly pass along the information.
Does the band take breaks?
If you have not contracted for continuous music, the band
will take three 15 minutes breaks. They do their best to
coordinate these breaks with toasts, slide-show presentations
and any other activities in an event program.
What is continuous music?
Continuous music ensures that there will always be at least three musicians playing at all times. There is an extra charge for this option
What about music for the breaks?
The bandleader brings a CD player with CD's to an event and plays appropriate music through the sound system while on break
Do you accept credit cards?
Sorry, no we don't. We accept cash, corporate and personal checks.
Will the band play overtime?
Your contract will state the cost per half hour for overtime of the band. If you decide that you want the band to play beyond their contracted time, please let your band leader know at the event. You will be asked to sign an overtime authorization sheet and we will invoice you after the event.
What happens if one of the band members gets sick or unable to perform?
We will replace him/her with a musician of equal talent.
What are the band's power requirements?
All of our bands require two 20-amp dedicated circuits.
How much room does the band need?
This varies depending on the size of your band. Typically, the minimum stage size is 8'x16' for smaller band configurations and may go as large as 12'x24' for larger bands.
Do I need to provide meals for the band?
This will be indicated on your contract. Most event sites sell 'vendor meals' which are much less expensive than what you would have for your guests.
